What else Louisiana says about renewing
- A cosmetology licensee who retires from practice for more than three years can resume practice by renewing after proving they are qualified, which is done through a short form examination.
- A Louisiana registrant who keeps a license in another state is treated as having kept an active practice for the period covered by that out-of-state license.
- Cosmetology, esthetician and manicurist licenses that have been expired for more than three years require a restoration exam before they can be restored.
