The global salon services market is worth $264.93B, and there are 1,334,753 hair, nail, and skin-care businesses in the US alone, most of them a single chair or a single location. It also runs on almost nothing: the average salon nets 8.2%, staff pay eats 48-55% of sales, and the owner takes home $40K-$80K a year.
Clients have moved to search, to booking apps, and now to AI recommendations, while the phone keeps ringing with nobody free to answer it: salons miss 24% of inbound calls, and roughly 952M high-intent calls are lost across the industry every year. Owners already know the answer is here: 58% of US small businesses now use generative AI, and 98% use at least one AI tool. The gap was never belief. It was that AI arrived as a dozen more tools to buy, learn, and stitch together, exactly the thing a time-starved owner cannot do. SalonAI exists to remove that work.
