How it works
How Indiana inspects salons
Inspections are done by the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners.
Board members, inspectors, and investigators may inspect a beauty culture salon during its regular business hours.
“(a) A member of the board or any inspector or investigator may inspect: (1) a beauty culture salon; (2) a beauty culture school; or (3) a mobile salon; during its regular business hours.”
We found no inspection form published by the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners, so this checklist is built from the state's rules themselves.
