What it does
Acuity Scheduling, owned by Squarespace, is a flexible online booking tool that excels at customizable appointment types, intake forms, availability rules, packages, and payments at booking. It is not a full salon POS, but for solo estheticians, makeup artists, massage therapists, and lash and brow pros who mainly need clean, professional self-booking, it is a favorite. It also integrates tightly with Squarespace websites.

Acuity's AI is one chat widget: the Booking Assistant, added in September 2026 on the Premium plan, suggests services and open times on the scheduling page in English or Spanish. Squarespace's wider AI works on Squarespace websites, not inside Acuity.
AI pricing: The Booking Assistant is on the Premium plan only ($49 a month billed annually, $61 monthly).
An AI chat widget on the scheduling page that suggests services and open times from a client's request, answers basic questions from details the owner adds and can offer the waitlist; the client then finishes on the normal checkout. It does not handle texts or DMs, and cannot book classes, packages or gift certificates.
